Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Make a meaningful statement of support to those battling a tough fight.
In 2020, an estimated 276,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the U.S., according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Patients being treated for cancer often need frequent platelet transfusions as treatment for the disease can reduce platelet count. Will you help? Schedule an appointment to donate blood today!
COVID-19 Antibody Testing
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us, especially patients fighting for their lives. To discover future convalescent plasma donors, LifeStream is testing all successful blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Results will be posted on your unique LifeStream account about 2 weeks following your donation. You’ll find out if potentially you could assist currently ill COVID-19 patients. Your blood donation is also tested for cholesterol levels and more than a dozen other infectious diseases.
Your Well-Being Is Our #1 Priority!
We require all donors and staff to wear masks/face coverings (please note that masks/face coverings with one-way valves to filter outside air are not sufficient) and submit to temperature checks and COVID-19 symptom checks before accessing donor waiting areas. LifeStream adheres to social distancing guidelines and has enhanced already strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols. To learn more about the steps we’re taking, click here.
