LifeStream Blood Bank

Welcome to LifeStream

Patients are in urgent need of blood. You can help.

Red cells carry oxygen throughout the body and are needed for hospital patients who may have experienced a loss of blood due to surgery or a car accident, or a patient suffering from anemia.

Limited-Time Promotion:
  • A $15 e-gift card (with a lot of great options) is yours when you make a double-red cell donation March 1-25 at a LifeStream donor center or participating mobile drive! Cannot be combined with other promos.
  • Please note: Participating drives are subject to change without notice.

What is a Double-Red Cell Donation?

A double-red cell donation is 2 units of collected red blood cells as opposed to a single unit taken during a whole-blood donation.

How Long Does It Take?

A double-red cell donation takes about 1.5 hours (or less) to complete from registration to canteen.

How Often Can I Donate A Double-Red Cell Donation?

You can give a double-red cell donation every 16 weeks, or 4 months. Appointments are required.

Am I Eligible?

Male donors must be at least 5’1″ and weigh more than 130 pounds. Female donors must be at least 5’5″ and weigh more than 150 pounds.

Why Give A Double-Red Cell Donation?

Donating double-red cells has the greatest impact on the community around you and the patients who need you. While one donation can save up to three lives, oftentimes a single patient will need many donations to survive.
