En lugar de recolectar una unidad (aproximadamente medio litro) de sangre completa, se pueden realizar donaciones por af\u00e9resis solo para el componente que m\u00e1s necesitan los pacientes locales.<\/p>

Las donaciones dobles de gl\u00f3bulos rojos, plaquetas y plasma solo se pueden recolectar mediante af\u00e9resis.<\/p>

Este proceso recolecta sangre completa del donante, a\u00edsla el componente necesario y luego devuelve los componentes restantes junto con una soluci\u00f3n salina al donante.<\/p>
