Despu\u00e9s de repetidos episodios de desmayo, un cardi\u00f3logo descubri\u00f3 que ten\u00eda una miocardiopat\u00eda restrictiva, una enfermedad que no permit\u00eda que su coraz\u00f3n se relajara y le provocar\u00eda insuficiencia card\u00edaca. Lexi ahora necesitaba un trasplante de coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando su coraz\u00f3n se debilit\u00f3 y su condici\u00f3n se deterior\u00f3, Lexi, de 16 a\u00f1os, fue ingresada en el Hospital Infantil de la Universidad de Loma Linda, donde la pusieron en coma inducido m\u00e9dicamente y la colocaron en soporte vital. A pesar de las complicaciones, Lexi luch\u00f3 duro para salir adelante cada d\u00eda. Finalmente, su familia recibi\u00f3 la buena noticia de que hab\u00eda un coraz\u00f3n disponible para Lexi.
